Foster Cline, MD, is an internationally renowned child and adult
psychiatrist. He is a cofounder, with Jim Fay, of the Love and Logic
Institute and specializes in the attachment and bonding of children,
dealing with gifted and talented children, parenting and child
management, classroom behavior management, and communications
systems and patterns.
His love of children and his passion for changing lives give him a
unique sense of clarity as he turns difficult and often confusing child
development concepts into straight talk and answers for adults. He has
served as a consultant to school systems, pupil personnel teams, and
hospitals around the world.
Dr. Cline is also a grandparent and the father of three biological
children, one adopted child, and several foster children.
Jim Fay has more than fifty years of experience working with children
and families. During thirty-one years in education as an educator,
principal, and administrator, he served in public, private, and parochial
schools. He is a cofounder of the Love and Logic Institute as well as the
founder of School Consultant Services, which he began in 1977.
Fay has become one of America’s most sought-after presenters in the
field of parenting, positive discipline, and classroom management. He
has been a consultant to schools, parents, mental health organizations,
and the U.S. military. He is also recognized as one of America’s top
educational experts and has won many awards in the education field.
