My name is Sebastian Fortuño and I am from the Chilean
Patagonia.
During my Architecture studies Chile and the USA I
developed an understanding for the relationship between
people and architecture, a pressing issues in two counties
that are constantly socially and environmentally changing.
In Albuquerque, New Mexico USA, I was able to focus
more in understanding how the natural and social
landscape can play a big role in the design of buildings. I
believe in an architecture that establishes a quiet, yet
powerful and inclusive presence on its site, in harmonious
cohabitation with nature and the rest of the built
environment.
I appreciate a minimalist and pragmatic approach to
design, where a simple concept is carried out through the
architecture via the selection of the fundamental
challenges society faces to create communities.
