My Role: In this project I worked through several tasks,
including Schematic Design, Site Development, Design
Development and Construction Documents. I was also
responsible for the design studies, marketing
presentations, digital rendering and animations.
Block 7 at BoulevardOne is the first commercial mixed use development project in the
Boulevard One neighborhood in Denver, Colorado, a master plan redevelopment that was
once the old Lowry Airforce base.
The project features a surround of retailers, restaurants, office space clustered around a
structured below grade parking garage. The development faces the two edges of the site,
Quebec Street to the east and Lowry Blvd to the south while also providing a secondary
front door from the interior of this site for visitors arriving by car. The massing is broken up
in strategic locations to provide community connections and capitalize on unimpeded views
to the west. The composition of masonry, steel and glass draws inspiration from the legacy
Lowry architecture with a slight reorganization that speaks to the unique identity of this
neighborhood.
