My kids can : making math accessible to all learners, K–5

(nextflipdebug2) #1

  • participate in our small-group discussions and listen to each others’ ideas

  • contribute ideas to our large-group discussions with the scaffolding of our
    small-group rehearsal

As I plan for a new unit of study, I will begin again this continuous cycle of re-
flecting on my students’ learning, my instructional strategies, and ways that I can
keep assessing to improve both my students’ learning and my teaching. I will try
to predict what will be difficult for students to grasp during the whole-class dis-
cussions while keeping in mind which ideas may have been previously inaccessi-
ble or which may need to be kept alive for this particular small group.
