Step 5 Notice that this chart can be used for airports whose mean daily maximum
temperature of the hottest month at the airport is equal to or less than 86 F (30 C). Since
the given temperature for this example is 40.2C (104.36F) is not within this range, a
temperature correction is needed.


Step 6 To adjust the runway length: add 1% of length for every 1 C above the SDT.
