Chevron Markings for Blast Pads- Purposes.
The chevron marking identifies paved blast pads in relation to the end of the runway. - Location.
The chevron yellow marking is located on the blast pad and stopway that are aligned with and
contiguous to the runway end as shown in Figure 10- 8.

- Characteristics.
Dimensionally, blast pads equal the runway width plus the standard shoulder. The dimensions
and spacing requirements for chevron markings are shown in Figure 10- 8.
