10.2.2 Taxiway Lighting System
Taxiway Edge Lighting System
Taxiway edge lighting systems are configurations of lights that define the lateral
limits of the taxiway or apron.
- Color
The taxiway edge lights emit blue light.
- Spacing
The spacing for taxiway edge lights is calculated based on the taxiway configuration.
- For straight taxiway sections, the edge lights are spaced symmetrically about the
centerline as outlined in Table 10 - 4. The taxiway edge lights are located on a line
parallel to the taxiway centerline at least 0.6m, but not more than 3m, from the edge
of the full-strength pavement designated for taxiway use.
