- Configuration
Single-faced signs are installed on both sides of the runway, to indicate the distance
remaining when the runway is used in both directions.
- Size
There are two types of runway distance remaining signs, size 4 signs and size 5 signs, as
shown in Table 10 - 6. Normally, the larger the sign and the closer is located to the runway,
the more effective it is.
