Palestine International Airport (Al-Auja)

(Noor Al-Dian Rabaya) #1

Comments:

  • Jordan:

It is noted from Table 6-1 that the forecast results for the number of travelers and the
proportion of travelers to the population are very close. The difference in the total number
of passengers after 2030 can be explained by the superiority of Palestine in terms of tourism
and religious standing over the State of Jordan.

  • Lebanon

Comparing Rafic Hariri International Airport (Lebanon) and Al-Auja International Airport
(Palestine) gives an indication that Lebanon surpasses Palestine in terms of the economic
aspect, the welfare of the people, and the travel demand. In contrast, Palestine shines in
terms of its religious and tourist status. This justifies the very slight disparity between the
numbers of travelers.

  • Syria

The convergence of the number of travelers between Palestine and Syria is evident until
the year 2037, and if there are differences in favor of Palestine, it is due to its religious and
tourism importance compared to Syria.

  • Lod Airport

It is in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. There must be high compatibility between the
numbers of passengers at both airports, but we note the big difference in favor of Lod
Airport, this difference can be explained due to the Israeli occupation attraction of settlers
from the world to Palestine to maintain a rapid expansion for settlements. Moreover, it
should be noted that the presence of the airport under Palestinian control will increase the
number of visitors for religious purposes, especially Muslims.
