5.2.3 Land Use
In terms of agricultural use, lands are divided into high, medium, and low-value lands.
Thus, it is forbidden to use lands of high agricultural value. The main goal is to protect the
national agricultural product and balance between urban expansion and agricultural
activity, as agriculture is considered the most important source of income is for
Palestinians.
As Figure 5- 6 shows, only about 2.7 Km^2 of the proposed airport site is located in lands
with high agricultural value, while the rest lands are with low agricultural value.
