Add subtle variations with suspended patterns
Suspended chords
So far, all of the chords that we’ve looked at have featured the third note of their corresponding major or minor scale. Suspended chords (sus) don’t, replacing it
instead with either a second (sus 2 ) or a fourth (sus4). So Csus4 would feature an F (the fourth note in the C major scale) instead of the E found in a major chord. Here
is a list of sus4 chords.
