still retaining their independence and relevance to the whole image.



  1. Add a new Gradient Map Adjustment layer on top of all other layers. You
    will want to make sure that the layer thumbnail is selected, and not the
    layer mask thumbnail which is usually selected as default.

  2. Next, turn off the visibility of the gradient map layer by deselecting either
    the eyeball next to the layer, or the eyeball at the bottom of the Gradient
    Map Adjustment panel.
