Yrene, focused upon the task before her,
didn’t so much as glance his way.
But Erawan, through his screaming, met
Dorian’s stare.
The hatred in the demon king’s eyes was
enough to devour the world.
But Dorian said, “My father’s name.” His
voice did not waver. “You took it.”
He hadn’t realized that he wanted it.
Needed it, so badly.
