Me and my Jouelle journey
Me and my Jouelle journey
Way back...
I guess I swapped the pen,
paper and pixels for the
pliers and piercing saw.

I come from four generations of dressmakers, milliners, stage
and costume designers and art teachers. So, you could say
creativity is in my DNA.
Keeping with family tradition, I studied graphic design and
photography at Berkshire College of Art & Design. For some
years I ran my own graphic design and marketing agency,
eventually winding up in communications and marketing in the
corporate world.
A few years ago, realising I had strayed far from my roots, I
longed to nd an outlet for my creativity.
It was about that time that I took a new role as an assistant
gallery manager. During the evenings and weekends I would
study jewellery making, by day I would sell other jewellery
designer's pieces, absorbing much information about the
designer makers and their work.
