It may interest the reader to know that on a chessboard, 8 X 8, five counters
may be placed in line under precisely the same conditions in four fundamental
different ways, producing twenty different solutions in all. The arrangements
are given in the solution to Number 311, "The Five Dogs Puzzle," in the book
