Image sensor chips used in Hubble
Space Telescope are being used in
medical digital imagining. The digital
images can be used instead of biopsies,
which cause pain and scarring.
Cool Suit:
Spacesuits have provided the
inspiration for a „cool suit‟ which
circulates coolant around a person and
lowers their body temperature. This
can benefit people who have multiple
sclerosis, cerebral palsy and spina
bifida.
Community Safety:
Many projects undertaken by NASA
have resulted in improvements to
safety in the community. Examples are
