good idea to buy a Carrot Cake in a South Dakota Walmart and get our
friend Michael Wicker to sneak up on me and slam it in my face as a
joke. Wicker had joined us in Denver and was always keen for a little
prank. Unfortunately, Ollie did not know the carrot cake was old, stale,
and rock hard, and the impact nearly broke my nose. I was angry with
Ollie, but after a lengthy emotional chat at Wendy’s we made up and
had a long hug.
Next we made our way to the Niagara Falls, which is worth a visit
on this side of the grave, before heading for New York City.
Approaching New York City was bittersweet. We were excited about
seeing the famous city, but we were sad to be at the end of what had
been an unforgettable journey. I rang up Dustin Dustin and said,
“Remember I promised you that one day I’d go on a big road trip
across the states in a ridiculously short time and video it for some
reason? Well, I’m about to tell you something that will blow your mind.”
Then I told him all about Wendy’s and texting Gabie.
