Micologista, Engenheiro Agrônomo e Doutor em Produção
Vegetal tem se dedicado às áreas de Epidemiologia, Nema-
tologia, Diagnose e Controle de doenças de plantas em nível
de Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão pela Universidade Estadual
do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro - UENF. Foi como Pesqui-
sador do Laboratório de Química e Biomoléculas - LAQUI-
BIO do Centro de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação dos Institutos
Superiores de Ensino do CENSA – ISECENSA que encontrou
nos fungos da Restinga um fôlego, ao qual, mergulhou no
estudo da biodiversidade desse ecossistema nos últimos 6
anos. Publicou mais de 40 artigos nas áreas de identifica-
ção, classificação, taxonomia, distribuição, detecção e ma-
nutenção desses organismos provenientes dos diversos
ambientes terrestres, de plantas e de alimentos, bem como
sua importância para o homem. É autor do livro “O Tempo e
a Restinga”, sendo este o precursor de “Restinga Paralela”.
Vicente Mussi-Dias Maria das Graças Machado Freire
Doutora em Biologia Funcional e Molecular/UNICAMP e
Pós-doutorado em Produção Vegetal/UENF, é Coordenado-
ra do Centro de Pesquisa e Pós-graduação dos Institutos
Superiores de Ensino do CENSA (ISECENSA) onde chefia
o Laboratório de Química e Biomoléculas (LAQUIBIO). É
credenciada como professora colaboradora no programa
de Pós-graduação em Biologia Funcional e Molecular da
UNICAMP. Tem experiência na área de Bioquímica e atual-
mente dedica-se à prospecção de metabólitos de fungos
de restinga com aplicação na biorremediação de contami-
nantes ambientais. É editora-gerente da Revista Científica
Perspectivas online: Biológicas e da Saúde ISSN: 2236-
8868 e organizadora do Boletim P&D - ISSN: 2236-8868.
Autora e editora do livro “O tempo e a Restinga” que explora
a diversidade da flora vegetal bem como a interação do ho-

and maintenance of these organisms from different terrestrial,
plant and food environments, as well as on their importance for
humans. Author of the book “Time and Restinga”, the precursor of
“Parallel Restinga”.
Doctoral degree in Functional and Molecular Biology/UNICAMP,
Postdoctoral in Plant Production /UENF, Dean of the Graduate and
Research Center at CENSA Higher Education Institutes (ISECEN-

QUIBIO). Expert in Biochemistry and is currently engaged in the
prospection of restinga fungus metabolites for application in the
bioremediation of environmental contaminants. Managing Editor

that highlights the diversity of vegetation as well as the interaction
of man with that ecosystem.
