This is the big one, folks. The big myth.
The big lie. And we’re about to expose it.

Keep an open mind, OK?
We’ve all heard the one about how
saturated fat causes heart attacks and strokes.
In fact, saturated fat is often described as
“artery clogging!” But while the logic may
seem sound (eating fat fills your arteries with
fat), the facts don’t add up.

In 2010, the Journal of Clinical Nutrition
compiled a landmark meta-analysis of the
results of 21 studies that followed more than
347,000 total participants for up to 23 years.
The studies tracked dietary habits, including
intake of saturated fat and the participants’
incidence of heart attack and stroke. The
meta-analysis found: “There is no significant
evidence for concluding that dietary saturated
fat is associated with an increased risk of
coronary heart disease, stroke, or
cardiovascular disease.”
