101 Activities For Teaching Creativity And Problem Solving

(Joyce) #1

67. Spin the Bottle

Background
Around and around it goes. Where it stops, only the bottle knows. Do you remember
playing “Spin the Bottle” as a child (or even as an adult)? The Spin the Bottle idea genera-
tion exercise, developed by Hall (1994),is very similar, except you don’t have to kiss any-
one. Instead, groups use a bottle to point to someone who must suggest an idea.

Objectives

  • To help participants generate as many creative ideas as possible

  • To help participants learn how to use the activities to generate ideas

Small groups of four to seven people each

    sheets
