101. The Shirt Off Your Back
Background
If you’re in any type of competitive or stressful work environment, there are times when
you would give the “shirt off your back” for a hot new idea. Well, this activity may help
you get the idea you need, and you can keep your shirt on.
Objectives
- To help participants generate as many creative ideas as possible
- To help participants learn how to use the activities to generate ideas
Participants
Small groups of four to seven people each
Materials, Supplies, and Equipment
- For each group: markers, two flip charts, and masking tape for taping sheets of paper
to participants’ backs and for posting flip-chart sheets - For each participant: pens or pencils, one sheet each of three different colors of stick-
ing dots (^1 ⁄ 2 ” diameter), and one pad of 4 x 6 Post-it®Notes - For each participant: one sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper
