The Mall
Today we decided to go to the mall to celebrate Vand L moving in with us.
“What store first?” Dad asked us. I'm pretty sureeveryone is interested in going
to the food court. We all say, “The food court!!”While we are in public we keep
our conversions amongst ourselves to a minimum, dueto looking crazy for
talking to ghosts that everyone can’t see. After weeat, me, Lylot, and Vail go
shopping for clothes, and shoes. My birthday is comingup and I want to dress up
a little bit, just for the big 18. I can already drive,work, and handle my own
money. I just want peace for my birthday. “What doyou want for your birthday,
sister?” Key asks me. I shake my head, “Nothing.”I told her that because she is
going to get me a tiara. Like every year. Lylot andVail point to a store. It
says,“new”, and is called Pink Beauty. In here, thereare expensive clothes,
shoes, hats, and makeup products. I picked up a pinklip gloss, a pink headband
and a pink dress. I get up to the register, but someoneoffers to pay for all my
items. He is a dude that looks like he’s around myage, he's my height, and he’s
light skinned like me. “I hope you have a great birthday.”The dude says. He
walked away before I could ask how he knew that. ButI don't think too much of it.
We met Mom and Dad again. They ask if we're readyto go. We all nod in
agreement. On the way back I got on PGLife, to lookfor hair ideas. I have pretty
long hair so anything will pretty much be an exceptionalidea. I found two that I
really like. “Key, which of these two do you thinkis the prettiest?” I asked her.
“The one on the left.” she says hoping i'll wear thatstyle. “Right it is then!” I say
aggravatingly. It is half down, with two braids inthe front going to the back. We
suddenly come to a stop. “Dad, what is it?” I askrhetorically. He is face down on
the wheel. We all climbed out of the car. Lylot wantsto help, but doesn’t know
how. Mom is still in the car crying because she doesn’tknow what to do. We
don’t think to call the police because with him beinginjured and the only white
