The Incident (Flashback)
Carlos and Re’Aisio. Tanalya, Carl, and Key’s parentswanted to have fun
with their kids. For once. They decided to take themto the movies. Carl sold
drugs, and Re’Aisio actually partook in the activitiesinvolving them. They were
watching a movie as a happy family. All of the sudden,the police came out of
nowhere. They yelled, “We are looking for Carlos Johnson.”But Re’Aisio being a
loyal partner, she stood up and said, “Take me instead.”Tanalya, Key, and C-dog
(that’s what they call him), were all nervous. Butthey never really cried, or
showed feelings. Carlos stands up and calls out tothe police the “F-12” bomb.
They let out fire. Carlos ducks and they miss him.3 bullets go straight through
Re’Aisio. Everyone starts franticing and rushes outof the theatre. The police
came up to the kids and maced them. This is actuallythe day Tanalya befriended
Lylot. Lylot was a foster kid who she wasn’t aroundfor very long before they
became close. The police separated the boy from thegirls. C-dog went to Enas,
Nwot. Whereas the girls were still in their city (thegood side). The girls weren’t
too worried about their mother and father. They nevershowed them any interest
anyway. The first night they were at their fosterparents home, they ran away.
Lylot had no one, so he went along with them. Theywent to every house in their
city to find C-dog. They eventually gave up and justsettled in an abandoned
home. From this day forward they vowed to never leaveeach other no matter
what. A year later a girl came and visited the abandonedhome they squatted in
and began to cry. Key was only 2, she was outsideplaying and walked up to the
girl. Tanalya didn’t like the sight of this, so shewent out there and asked who she
was and why she was there. This girl was Vail. Andshe said, “My family and I
used to live here before I got taken away from them.They're dead now though.
