HEADSTAND
1 If you are new to headstands, practice them against the wall! Come to your knees
on the mat. Begin by checking the space between your elbows so that they line up
with your shoulders (you want to be able to wrap your fingers around the edges of
your elbows). A common mistake is moving the elbows out to the sides, creating a
space that’s too wide in between. If you do this, you lose the frame of the upper body
that supports you in this headstand! Measure the proper space, then keep the elbows
where they are.
