Daniel Wüllner is currently writing his doctoral thesis about the novels of William
Gaddis at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich ( Ludwig-Maximilians-
Universität München ). For the past fi ve years, he has been working for the German
online-magazine Comicgate (www.comicgate.de), and has published articles on comics
in online newspapers. His academic achievements as a comic scholar can be followed

Christine Yao recently completed her MA in English Literature at Dalhousie Univer-
sity, Halifax, Nova Scotia, preceded by an Honors BA at the University of Toronto.
Denis Yarow recently completed his MA in English at the University of Toronto, from
which he also received his Honors BA in English and Literary Studies.
Martha Zan studied history of art in Cologne, Germany and Florence, Italy; she
received her MA at the University of Cologne in 2009 with her thesis “Jean Giraud ́s
Blueberry and the Spaghetti-Western. Th e Relation Between the Language of Comic
Book and Movie.” During her studies she held journalist jobs for the local newspaper
and radio station; she was initiator and author of an audio guide project for children.
Eugenia Zuroski Jenkins is assistant professor of English and Cultural Studies at
McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, and associate editor of Eighteenth-Century
Fiction. She specializes in Orientalism, material culture, and taste and aesthetics in
literature and culture of the long 18th century.
