Remedies
Once a breach of contract is found to exist a remedy is needed for the
‘innocent’ party. This may mean that the contract is to be ended, or it may be
better for all if a certain amount of money is given to put right the defect. The
issue of remedies can be found in Chapter 15: Remedies. Other areas of law
should also be considered, such as criminal liability and liability in the tort of
negligence, which is examined very briefly here. You may wish to refer to
negligence in the companion book in this series on the law of tort.
