LikeBcells,Tcellshavereceptorsthatbindspecificallytotheirstericcounter-
partsonantigenepitopes.ThediversityofT-cellreceptorsisalsoachievedby
meansofgeneticrearrangementofV,D,andJsegments(Fig.2.4b).However,
theT-cellreceptorisneversecreted,andinsteadremainsmembrane-bound.
