Caledonia celebrates

Independence Day

Hundreds of area
residents jammed
Caledonia’s Main Street last
Saturday for the community’s
annual Independence Day
parade.
Caledonia typically holds
its celebration the Saturday
of or before the Fourth of
July.
The atmosphere was
festive, with many spectators
wearing red, white and blue.
The procession began at
Duncan Lake Middle School,
wound its way through
downtown, then turned south
on Maple Street to go past
the village hall.
Later that night, fireworks
were shot off near the
CalPlex athletic complex to
complete the day’s activities.
