Scrum is:
Aframeworkwithinwhichpeoplecantackle complextasksand enablethemselvesto
deliverproductswiththehighestpossiblevalueinaproductiveandcreativemanner.
Scrum has been used since the
early 1990s as a framework for the
management of complex products.
Scrum is not a process, technique or complete
method. Rather, it is a framework in which different
processes and techniques can be used. The Scrum framework consists of roles, events,
artifacts and rules. Each component within the framework serves a specific purpose and is
essential for the use of Scrum and its success. Like most agile processes, Scrum is
iterative. A single iteration is called sprint and usually takes one to four weeks.
