Scrum
Tasks of the scrum master
- is responsible for the scrum process and its correct
implementation. - is an intermediary and supporter (facilitator).
- strives for maximum benefit and continuous
optimization. - eliminates obstacles.
- ensures the flow of information between product
owner and team. - ensures that the Scrum events take place within the
defined timebox and supports/moderates as
required. - keeps an eye on the topicality of the scrum artifacts
(product backlog, sprint backlog, burndown charts). - protects the team against unauthorized
interventions during sprinting.
Agile processes are characterized
by high dynamics. To ensure that the
process runs in a targeted manner and
that dynamics do not turn into chaos, I
exist. I am, so to speak, the soul of the
process and I take care that the rules
are respected.
What the scrum master DOES NOT do
- Assuming the role of the boss for the
team. - Manage the project in the sense that it
determines who has to do which work
and in which way. - Double function as team member or
product owner (conflicts of interest).
