LeSS (Large Scale Scrum)

The special feature of LeSS is that there is only one Product Owner (PO), who

coordinatesanenlargeddevelopmentteamconsistingofseveralunits.Thisisdifferent

to Scrum of Scrums, where the self-coordination of the different teams through

representativesisemphasized.

ThePO takescare ofthe centralbacklog, fromwhich several developmentteams

retrievetheirinformation.AswithScrumonateamlevel,theteamsinLeSSworkin

parallelinsprintsandtowardsacommon"potentiallyshippableproduct".Duringthe

SprintPlanning,allteamsarepresentatthesametime.

AftertheProductOwnerhaspresentedthebacklogitemsandtheirprioritization,the

teamsthemselvesdecideonthedistributionoftasks.

GiventhesizeoftheSprintReview,aproceduresuchasa"bazaar",inwhicheach

team setsupapresentationstand that canbevisitedduring the meeting,ismore

suitablethananindividualpresentationfromeachteam.
