FEATURE AREAS

Flexibility

Flexibility is part of agility. This characteristic is the ability to adapt to changing

circumstances.

Impediment Backlog

In the Impediment Backlog, the scrum master publicly collects all obstacles that hinder the

team's successful work. Alternatively, the obstacles can be collected on a task board.

increment

The increment is the sum of all product backlog entries completed during the past sprints.

At the end of each sprint, the new increment must be in a usable state and correspond to

the definition of done.

iteration

An iteration generally describes a process of repeating identical or similar actions several

times in order to approach a solution or a certain goal.

Kanban

In contrast to scrum, Kanban is an agile procedure model without iterations. The tasks are

continuously processed by the team. The aim is to limit the amount of work started at the

same time, to make bottlenecks in the workflow visible and thus to reduce the throughput

times of work packages. The workflow is visualized on a Kanban board.

Kanban Board

The board visualizes the workflow, with each card representing a task. The maps are

assigned to the respective columns. For example, the columns are defined in "Backlog", "to

do", "in Progress" and "Done". Each of these columns has a "Doing" and "Done" page to

apply the pull mechanism.

LESS (Large scalescrum)

A scaling framework that can be applied to 3-8 Scrum teams. A common Product Owner

edits the backlog and the teams work simultaneously on different items.

Limitation of WIP

The number of "Work in Process" items is limited. This means that each individual task can

be completed faster than before. Example of such a mechanism are the column limits, i. e.

the number of tickets on the Kanban Board is limited.
