What would an iOS update be without
some new Memoji options? In iOS 15
you’ll have access to over 40 new
outfits, new glasses options, and the
ability to adjust eye color individually
and set headwear colors. You can
represent yourself with cochlear
implants, oxygen tubes, or a soft helmet.
And nine new Memoji stickers let you
express yourself in more places.
MAPS
Apple Maps continues to improve. The
new mapping data was a big step and will
continue to spread to more countries over
the coming year, but the app itself will get
lots of new features, too.
The 3D view has a soft new look, and in
select cities it offers an abundance of detail
depicting landmarks, vegetation, special
roads, and more. You’ll see more road details
such as crosswalks, turn lanes, bus and bike
lanes, and even 3D interchanges. At one end
of the scale, there’s a new 3D augmented-
reality view for walking directions. At the other
end, there is a wide 3D globe view.
Transit routes are enhanced, and you
can pin the busses or trains that you
always take to keep their real-time
information at the top. When riding
transit, maps will notify you when you’ve
reached your stop.
Place cards are redesigned, and
search now lets you filter results to more
easily get at what you’re looking for.SAFARI
Apple’s browser has undergone a big
redesign. The tab bar is at the bottom of the
screen now, and moves away even further
when you scroll down a page. Swipe left
and right on it to move between tabs. Pull
down on the top of the page to refresh it.Maps has
