To open the Teacher workbook:

1 Open the Teacher workbook from the Chapter12 data folder.

2 Save the fi le as Teacher Control Chart.

There is obviously some variation between scores across semesters, with

scores varying from a low of 54.0 to a high of 100. Without further analy-

sis, you and your friends might think that such a spread indicates that the

professor’s classroom performance has fl uctuated widely over the course of

20 semesters. Is this interpretation valid?
