vehiclemadebyaCzechcarmaker.Those bumpershaddifferentdesignsastheywereonly
viewedasacosmeticpartofacar.In 1901 thefirstbumperthatcanabsorbanimpactwas
foundandwascommerciallyinstalledinthecars.Bumpers,whichweretreatedasanoptional
part was then widely used and became common as designersmade its design more complex.
Astimepassedbychrome-platedbumpersbecamewidelyusedintheindustries.Inthe1950s
US-based manufacturer started setting new trends, time was such that different car
manufacturers had their different bumper designs. The 1960s was the time when light
chrome-plated bumpers came into the picture. As the needs of the car designers and
manufacturersincreased,bumperswerethenmanufacturedinseveralpiecesasmanycarparts
wereincorporatedintoitlikegrills,lampsandexhaustpipes.Notmuchlatergeneralmotors
installedthefirstplasticmadebumpertheircars(PontiacGTO)forreducinglow-speedimpacts.
