special-purpose craft for family. - Itwastheyearof 1956 whentheUSArmystartedtoinvestigateFlyingJeeps,anaircraft
thatwaseasiertooperateascomparedtohelicopters.Severalcompaniesweregiven
the contract to develop and deliver aprototype someof whichincluded Chrysler,
Piasecki.Whenalltheprototypesweredeliveredtothearmytheprototypemadeby
Piaseckiwaschosen.Itcouldflyclosetolandbuthadanabilitytogotothousandsof
feetwithfullstability.Butinsteadofit,thearmyfocusedonthehelicoptersasthese
crafts could not withstand the modern battles.
