inmanycases,thedensityoftheheavilyarmouredvehiclesismuchmorethanthatofwater,
andthusseveralstepsaretobetakentomakesureitfloatsonwater.Onesuchmeasurecanbe
installingrubber bagsontheperipheryofthevehiclebodywhichinflateswhenthevehicle
enters a water body, this increases the surface areaof contact and thus that vehicle floats.
Manytimeshavingawheelortrackisenoughformovementinawaterbodyastheycanactas
apropeller. Besidesthis, awaterjetorinstallingascrewpropellersysteminvehiclesalso
enablesittomoveonwater.Inmanydesigns,avehiclecan’traiseoutofthewatertoachieve
highspeedsasaspeed-boatdoes.Manyamphibiousvehiclesmovewithitsbottomlyingflaton
the surface of the water, and thus they can’t achievehigh speeds.
