Edit the data

A small window appears with four rows

and columns, plus labels. Click a cell and enter

new labels or data. Ctrl+click columns or rows

to add or delete them as required.

Change the buttons

Click ‘Interactive Chart’ in the sidebar

and choose between Slider and Buttons

(see previous pic) or Buttons Only. The slider

enables you to jump between views.

Add value labels

What do the figures represent? Select an

empty cell in the Chart Data window and the

Series tab in the sidebar. Click ‘Value Labels’

and choose an option, like Currency.

Choose a chart

Open a Pages document or create a new

one. Position the cursor in the document and

click the ‘Chart’ button. Select the Interactive

tab and click the first chart you see.

Choose a style

A small chart with dummy data is

created. Open the Format inspector panel on

the right – at the top are all the chart styles.

Change the style any time by clicking an icon.

Access chart options

The chart currently shows example data,

which must be replaced with your own. Click

the ‘Edit Chart Data’ button at the bottom or

ctrl+click the chart to display a menu.

Flip the chart

Use the buttons in thecorner of the

Chart Data window to flip the view between

showing columns or rows. Click the back/next

buttons under thechartto see the difference.

Style the chart

There are many styling options that let

you make the chart look good. Select the

Chart inspector tab and use the options in

the sidebar to explore these effects.

Change chart type

Scroll down to the bottom of the Chart

inspector panel and click ‘Chart Type’ to

choose a different chart view. Would your
