Choose the perfectcolour

One of the hardest aspects of redecorating is getting the colours right. This is particularly true when dealing with walls. You have
to consider how a colour will look alongside your furniture, the natural lighting in the room, and myriad other things. There is an
app, however, that will make this process much quicker and easier – Dulux Visualizer.

1

The motivation
The obvious motivation of the app is to
sell products, but credit to Dulux for making
an app that offers instant inspiration, and
which is extremely easy to use.

2

See your wall
Tap the big green icon (bottom right),
and you will see your wall through the app.
You can now touch the wall, which will add
your chosencolour from the bottom.

3

It transforms
The immediate transformation is
impressive, and all you then need to do is scroll
through the colours at the bottom and then
tap the wall again.

4

Even more colours
Tap ‘More Colours’ at the bottom, and
you will see more palettes to choose from.
You will likely have a tone in mind, so this
helps to narrow down the options.

5

Save your favourites
When the right colour choice hits you, it
can be saved as a favourite with a note of the
room, as well. Don’t fret, it won’t take long to
find the right colours.

6

Finish the job
When you are finished choosing the
right colours for your home, you can purchase
the paints from within the app. This is a very
impressive and simple solution.

Pick out colours

There is an app called Color Name AR that lets you instantly find the ‘exact’ colour you are seeing in front of you. This will take
the task of picking out colours from furniture or flowers, and then matching paints with them, to a whole new level. Bear in mind,
however, that you don’t need to get too specific with finding the exact colours.

1

Snap and capture
Take a photo, and then tap on a specific
area to instantly see the colour. The RGB
value and the colour name will be presented
at the top.

2

The true value
You can now see all of the values for the
colour, which is especially useful when using
a physical paint-picking shop that can create
customised paint.

3

AR scanning
The AR feature is even faster at picking
out colours. Simply move the iPhone around,
and everycolour spotted is immediately
detailed at the top for your reference.
