That’s the premise of the BBC’s Pick A Part,

only it goes beyond that. A production tool

called Audio Orchestrator means sound files can

be brought together and assigned to different

devices, letting you isolate instruments.

This uses music from the BBC Philharmonic

There’s little point connecting your

devices to play a piece of music, only

to have all your devices bunched in

front of you, blasting the tune from a

single direction. Play around with the

physical positions of your devices so

that it feels as if the music is coming

from all around you. This will give you

the most immersive experience.

Part on other devices, you will

find the option ‘Join Existing

Session’. Tap it, and you can

enter the number that will be

displayed here.

Copy the URL
If you’ve set up Apple’s
Continuity and you’re
connecting Apple devices,
tapping the Copy button is the
easiest method. Once done,
just paste the URL into your
other devices’ browser.

Scan the QR code
The QR code can be scanned
on another device, opening the
link in a browser. The rear-facing
camera on aniPhone oriPad
can scan QR codes.

Share the link
You can also tap the Share
button. Doing so will call up a
share sheet, allowing you to use
AirDrop or messaging services
to make the URL available to
other devices.
