4
A new experience
Playing with a compatible controller
will seem both strange and familiar to you.
It almost feels as if someone has magically
improved your mobile gaming in an instant.
5
Tweak your preferences
In many games you will be able to tweak
the way the controller works, and this can
help add realism to the experience, like in
some of theadvanced third-person shooters.
6
Relive memories online
Many websites let you play retro games
online, such as retrogames.cc. The majority
work with controllers, and in our tests, they
showed a strong connection on an iPad.
1
Look for compatibility
Apple lists controllers that are compatible
with iPads, andthey include Xbox, PlayStation
and MFi Bluetooth models. The more well-
known the model, the better it will work.
2
Connect in seconds
You should be able to go to
Settings>Bluetooth, and then setyour
controller into pairing mode. Tap it, tap
‘Pair’, and it will be ready for future gaming.
3
A quick search
To test your controller, go to the App
Store and search for ‘controller games’. You
will see a selection that you can control
remotely, and many are also free to play.
7
To the Arcade
Apple Arcade offers a big selection of
complex games, and most of the action titles
fully supportcontrollers! The experience gets
pretty close to a real-life arcade, too.
8
Tricky
updates
Updating the firmware
in a controller can be
tricky, if you do not
own the console it was
originally designed for.
You may need to find a
friend who will connect
it and update it.
