Location

0.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline, on the level of the tip of

the coccyx.

How to find

Locate the coccyx superior to the anus. In contrast to the sacrum,

the coccyx is movable. BL-35is located 0.5 cun lateral to the

midline on the level of the tip of the coccyx.

➞Du-2is located on the midline, on the level of the sacral

hiatus (➞3.4.4) and superior to BL-35and the tip of the coccyx.

Needling

Vertically 1–1.5 cun

Actions/Indications

● Clears Damp-Heat from the Lower Burner

● Treats haemorrhoids and rectal prolapse

● Benefits the coccyx

Special features

Especially in patients with a weakened immune system, this

point should be needled only if strictly necessary and after using

a disinfecting wipe three times.
