Location

3.5 cun lateral to the midline, on the level of the lower border of

the spinous process of the 4th lumbar vertebra (L4).

How to find

Locate the Tuffier’s line and L4 (➞3.4.3). Ex-B-7is located 3.5

cun lateral to it. Located on the same level are ➞Du-3(on the

midline), a point of ➞Ex-B-2/BL-25/Ex-B-6(0.5/1.5/3 cun lat-

eral to the midline).

Needling

Vertically 0.5–0.8 cun

Actions/Indications

● Opens the channel locally

● Tonifies the Kidneys
