6.3 Extra Points: Back (EX-B)

Location

2 cun superior to the tip (inferior end) of the coccyx.

How to find

Locate the tip of the coccyx superior to the anus and palpate for the

sacral hiatus. From there, palpate 2 cun in a superior direction and

locate Ex-B-9in a depression between the sacral processes.

➞Du-1is located on the midline, between the tip of the coccyx

and the anus.

Needling

Up to 1.5 cun obliquely in a superior direction.
