Inflammatory bowel disease
Definition

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) refers to a
group of inflammatory disorders mostly of the large
intestine including ulcerative colitis andCrohn’s dis-
ease, that cause the intestines to become inflamed.

Description

Although ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease
have some features in common, there are some impor-
tant differences.
