I alwaysenjoy the swimming, and thecycling isanother favourite – theatmosphere in thevelodromeis always intense andit’s oneInever want to miss. Andwhile rowing isn’tasportwenormally cover too much inTheSun,it’s an amazingeventto cover andTeamGB’s success in Riomeantwegave it lots ofcoverage. There was one24-hour period thatwas completelyamazing and stoodout forme. On theFriday evening I covered thewomen’s hockey final and saw us scoopgold, thenwent to bed,got up early andheaded forthe boxing, where I shotNicolaAdams winninggold. I hada quickbite to eatthen headed to thevelodrometo stakeaplace track sideto get the best possibleposition forthe final. Andlo and behold,Team GBwon goldagain. Thiswas special, butwithout doubt, the ultimate memorywas theachievements of MoFarah. I didn’tthinkwhat he achieved in Londoncould betopped, butwhat he produced in Riowassimply incredible and unforgettable.”Thankfullyforus, Dickie was there tocapture thesemoments –wethinkhedeserves agold medal forhis efforts too!For moreofDickie's images, visit: dickiepelham.com.Follow him onTwitterat: @DickiePelhamNove mber2016Digital slr Photography 95
