I remain ever-grateful to my spouse Heather for her long-suffering patience,
loving support, and tolerant understanding of this project. My daughters Kate
Taylor and her husband Louis, and Anna Brown and her husband Steve, have
been ever helpful: best of all matching my work-rate with the production of
magical grandchildren – Phoebe, Bonny, Grace and Oliver – who, along with the
frank and guileless little ones at Helensville Montessori, are a constant reminder
of the need for sustainable and secure urban places.
