Body paint
this set of images was produced
for a book by Jos Brands, one of
Belgium’s finest makeup artists, to
demonstrate the possibilities offered by
the use of makeup and an airbrush.
to create harmony and enhance the
effects of the makeup, we matched the
colors of the background and props to
the colors of the makeup. the green
shots were taken by natural light, the
blue ones with a handheld halogen
spotlight. the poses are intimate,
avoiding eye contact, making it easier
to study the models’ bodies and the
subtleties of the body paint.
