Side light

here sunlight is falling directly on

the model. the light seems to be

coming almost horizontally, and

sculpts the model beautifully. look at

her belly button in the image on the far

left, the light on her breast in the

middle image, and the light on and

under her eye in the image on the

right. this kind of light is ideal if you’re

looking for strong, graphic effects, and

is also my favorite light for black and

white photography.

Radiating light
to create this image, i zoomed at the end of a long exposure from wide angle
to telephoto. the point from which everything radiates is the pillar in the middle
of the shot. i have overexposed by two stops to enhance the effect.
