Joist headersare taken off next. The header runs along

the ends of the joist to seal the exposed edges (Fig-

ure 13.19). The headers are of the same size as the joists,

and the length required will be two times the length of the

building (Figure 13.8).

From Figures 13.5 and 13.8, the joist header runs along the
50-foot dimension of the building. Therefore, there are 100 lf of
